Fishing... Sturgeon Lake is well known for it's incredible Lake trout fishing. At Sturgeon Lake Lodge you can launch your own boat, rent a boat & motor or even take advantage of Charter fishing on our tug boat. For a change of pace while your out on the lake, stop by some of the numerous walleye and northern holes. Sturgeon lake with it's miles of shoreline can keep you busy all week, but if you want to do a bit of exploring, we have boats & motors on a number of smaller lakes in the area where you can fish for walleye, northern, smallmouth bass, perch and speckled trout. Our area has a myriad of lakes which can be accessed by trailer, we have Boat/Motor/Trailer Packages for you or we can direct you to these lakes with your own Boat & Motor. We can accomodate fisherman all summer from Ice Out Fishing in May, opening weekend, fantastic summer fishing for the whole family and dynamite fall fishing mixed with a hunting trip. We have guides available by the day or week. For that extra special fishing trip check out the Outpost. Fish found in Sturgeon Lake are Lake Trout, Walleye, Northern, White Fish, Suckers and Borbot (better known around the area as Ling). Also several lakes in the area are excellent for Walleye and Northern fishing. Strugeon Lake is well known for its moose and grouse hunting.
